Do you want to design bridges, produce the next wicked soundtrack, film or design the next best-selling video game? Then we want to hear from you. We’ve partnered with Birmingham City University to give one lucky winner each year to receive a fully funded undergraduate degree at their Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment.


Apply for the Millennium Point Trust Scholarship and you could have your undergraduate degree at Birmingham City University’s (BCU) Faculty for Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment funded. If you make it to the finals you’ll also get a number of opportunities and benefits to develop new skills and experience to get you started in your chosen career.

Can you apply?
To be considered for the scholarship you’ll need to download and complete the application and then submit through our online form – if you don’t complete both steps your application won’t be counted. You’ll also need to make an application through UCAS to BCU for your chosen course before the deadline.

You’ll need to meet the below criteria:

  • You live in the West Midlands of the United Kingdom
  • You are 18 by, and looking to start an undergraduate degree in, September 2020.
  • Your chosen course is listed below.
  • You meet the entry requirements for your chosen course – you can find this out on the BCU website.
  • You have completed your application and submitted it through our online form by 31st January 2020.

What do you get out of it?
It’s a two-stage application with the final stage being a live final. The winner will be awarded a trophy and a scholarship which pays for their tuition fees at Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built-Environment. It’s not just about the winner, all finalists will receive free workshops, training and opportunities to kick start their career as part of the Scholarship programme. This can include industry links, work placements and mentorship in your chosen field.
